The Lower Secondary School (LSS) encompasses Year 7 to Year 9. Kids At Heart International School is authorised to deliver the Pearson Edexcel Lower Secondary Curriculum, an internationally recognised programme that ensures a smooth academic transition from Primary School to the early secondary years. This curriculum promotes inquiry-based, experiential learning and equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become independent, self-motivated learners.
The Pearson Lower Secondary framework supports continuous assessment, enabling teachers to closely monitor each learner’s academic progress, personal growth, and readiness for the next stage of their education.
Learners in the Lower Secondary School are assessed through homework, class tests, practical tasks, and end-of-term examinations. To maintain a strong partnership between school and home, teachers meet with parents twice each term—at mid-term and again at the end of the school term—to discuss learners’ progress and learning goals.
To ensure high-quality instruction and personalised attention, we maintain a maximum class size of 20. Small class sizes allow teachers to understand how each student learns best, tailor their teaching methods, and build meaningful relationships with students and their families.
